World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be done by any item upgrader NPC.

The equipment must be a certain level in order to accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of the base weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. They can be found from enemies dropped in the open world, bought from certain merchants, or obtained through drops during combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon and an upgrade.
It's crucial to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, followed by the ones you won't replace in the near future. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your shoulders, chest feet, hands, and shoulders if you plan to play an asymmetrical build. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some products may be superior to others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is no different, with some Reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can upgrade only one item of magic at a time. If an upgrade project is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the gold they would normally cost to create or buy however, they also offer additional advantages.
A magical item is any item that has special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they could also be armors, shields and cloaks, as well as potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Some of these items are telepathic.
Many magic items can be enhanced in their abilities. This can make them more useful to players, or can help them overcome a particularly challenging encounter. Other objects with enchanted powers could allow the character's appearance change, or they could even create a completely new one. These items are particularly useful for characters that have been forced to leave their home or located in an area in which they are not welcomed. A magical item may grant them invisibility or make them invisible to anyone, excluding the person they choose to.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that don't fall into the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons and offer various capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor they are not a single utility item that will be in conflict with the other. Most utility items provide an effect that the player can activate by using them, but some have additional abilities that are triggered when the user presses the button or activates an ability.
The Flashlight is the most commonly used accessory. It is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving and the Jetpack, which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Several utilitarian items can be quickly produced in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through research projects or projects in the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the ones available in their regular inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to allow more effective use.
Most utility items enhance the combat ability of a particular character or give the player some sort of advantage in navigation. For instance, sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman increase Concentration and Healing Power. Other items that are useful can be utilized by players to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single utility item to begin the campaign. A second slot is available after the completion of certain engineering, research, or research projects on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This allows players to utilize an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
